Artist Call Detail

brokenheartsproject.org
For International artists

The brokenheartsproject.org is an interactive project in which participants revisit the location of a painful break-up or memory and leave a "broken heart" at the scene of the crime.  The heart will serve as a memorial to be photographed and submitted to the site, creating a tangible map of heartache.

The project and website are still in the early stages, but we welcome everyone to participate. Except heartbreakers. Unless you're a heartbreaker who develops websites. Don't let the underdeveloped website prevent you from participating--it is fun or at least therapeutic. Feel free to make as many broken hearts as you have ever had.

To participate:

  • Create a white heart and install it anywhere you recall having your heart broken (aka where you got DUMPED. BAD). The execution of the heart or hearts is to be determined by you, the heartbreakee.
  • Next, photograph the heart at the location of the heartbreak.
  • Submit the photograph of your heart along with your name, the location of the heart, and any information you would like to accompany your photo.
