Artist Call DetailH20 - Juried Exhibition
For California artists
Sebastopol Center for the Arts (SCA) invites artists living in California to submit work to H20. For this exhibition we are interested in artwork that has to do with water in all its manifestations, (metaphorical, conceptual, or representational) including, but not limited to, images of water in its various forms (liquid, ice, mist, vapor, etc.), uses of water (habitats, infrastructures, functional, recreational), and water-related issues (local/global political, social, economic).
Open to all media, including video and installation.
Juror: Patricia Watts is founder and West Coast curator of ecoartspace, a nonprofit providing a platform for artists who address environmental issues since 1999. She has curated numerous exhibitions, participated as panelist at conferences and for public art departments, and has given lectures internationally. Watts was Chief Curator at the Sonoma County Museum in Santa Rosa, CA (2005-2008).
Hand-delivered entries will be accepted at SCA on Monday, July 12, between 3 and 6 pm. Entries by jpegs on CD must arrive by 5 pm, on or by that date. Please see prospectus for complete guidelines.
- SCA members, $10 per entry or 3 entries for $25 (membership is $40 annually).
- Nonmembers, $15 per entry, or 3 entries for $40.
