Saturday Guest Artist Series
For National artists

ARTS is seeking experienced, energetic and talented guest artists to teach unique workshops for high school age youth enrolled in ARTS’ Empower Program. EMPOWER is an advanced educational, multi-year arts program for high school youth who have demonstrated a desire to pursue careers in a creative industry. Activities include advanced art instruction, paid apprenticeships under mentorship with professional artists, paid employment in creative industries, exhibition opportunities, and leadership skill-building. Long-term projects are implemented with groups of 6-8 participants. (Up to 40 youth served annually ages 14-23.) Youth are supported through the ARTS Social Work team, including referrals to additional community resources, as needed to provide emotional and social support to help our youth succeed.

Each session will have approximately 10 to15 youth, and a volunteer assistant teaching artist if requested. Workshops can be held for 1 to 3 consecutive Saturdays.
