Rain Percussions
For International artists

After four years of drought, Californians are anticipating El Nino. South Carolina is flooded under a “1,000 year event”. When “Rain Percussions” opens on March 23 everyone is sure to be talking about rain. The exhibition will bring together a collection of works in a variety of media that consider the history, science, culture, romance, horror, nurturance, banality and devastation of rain.

We are looking for 2D and 3D works as well as sound, video, and digital media. Please send 10 jpg images on CD or flash drive to:

Curator, Margaret Niven is an artist, art educator and arts organizer who lives and works at the Tannery Arts Center in Santa Cruz, Ca.  Her previous curatorial projects included themes of hypnosis and intergenerational collaborations and were exhibited at the Felix Kulpa Gallery, Santa Cruz, Root Division, San Francisco and Galerie Califia in the Czech Republic. From 2010-13, Margaret organized the Tannery Arts Lecture Series. She teaches art at Monterey Peninsula and Cabrillo Colleges. www.margaretniven.com

Radius Gallery is an independently owned professional art venue and gallery at the Tannery Arts Center showcasing the work of local, regional and international artists.  Exhibitions are year-round and curated by the Director, guest curators, and present all art disciplines.  Radius Gallery is the largest space located in the historic Tanyard Building of the former Salz Tannery. http://radius.gallery/
