Nasty Women Art Exhibition
For California artists

This is a chance for your voice to be heard and be a part of a global movement that serves to demonstrate solidarity among self-identified Nasty Women artists in the wake of the presidential election and the threat to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, and abortion rights. Nasty Women Exhibitions also serve to support organizations defending these rights and to be a platform for organization and resistance. 

All proceeds from art sales will go to Planned Parenthood, Bakersfield.

Nasty Women Artists of all ages, races, religions, sexual orientations, gender or non-gender identifications, economic backgrounds, immigrants and non-immigrants. 

Your work must meet the submission requirements listed below to be included in the show:

  • Submitted artwork must be 12″ x 12″ or smaller 
  • Art work must be dropped off at De Couer Bake Shop 1818 G St Bakersfield, California 93301 on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 12 pm to 3 pm. 
  • If your work is not sold, you must pick it up on Saturday, April 8 between noon + 3 pm. No exceptions. We will not be responsible for unclaimed work. We will let you know by Saturday morning if your work did NOT sell.
  • Work must be ready to hang with hanging hardware in place and functional. The work must be labeled with the name of the artist, the name of the work and the price of the work on the back. 
  • Work must be FOR SALE & priced between $25 and $250 (The proceeds of all sales will be donated by Art and Soul Center to Planned Parenthood of Bakersfield. You are donating your work to the cause.)
  • No Videos
  • No hatred, sexism, racism, xenophobia. No meanness. We reserve the right to refuse any work if it contains or suggests hatred.
