Opportunities artist call detail
Call for Poetry Submissions
For International artists

My name is Abigael Tripp, and I am a student at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. My major is Communication Design, with a focus in both web design and letterpress. My love for creative writing is constantly finding its way into my design work.

For my senior thesis project I am creating a poetry anthology that will take the form of an online publication. I am collecting poetry submissions from all around the country and putting them together as a way to examine the intimately reciprocal relationship between people and place. An important aspect to this project is the notion of bioregionalism, which calls us to look at the world around us with a more holistic perspective. One of the goals of this project is to get people to think about place more deeply so that we may form a greater sense of community and move towards a more sustainable living.

At this stage in my project I am putting out a call for submissions across the entire country. I am looking for poems of all sorts and there is no restriction on form or length. You can submit by going to thisplacepoetry.org. Please contact me if you have any questions.
