Fleishhacker Foundation Invites Applications from Bay Area Arts Organizations
Through its Small Arts Grants program, the foundation will award grants of up to $10,000 to organizations in a range of disciplines, including dance, film and media arts, interdisciplinary arts, music, theater, and visual arts. Grants may be used for artists’ fees for creative time; production costs for performances or films; exhibition/installation costs for visual, media, or interdisciplinary arts; and projects that aid the organization’s overall artistic development. For films, the foundation is more interested in supporting a filmmaker’s vision than educational documentaries and will not provide grants to film students. The foundation will give preference to projects that support working artists.
Organizations with annual budgets ranging between $100,000 and $750,000 and that are based in and offer programming in the greater San Francisco Bay Area are eligible to apply.
See the Fleishhacker Foundation website for program guidelines, a list of recent grantees, and application instructions.
