ASCAP Foundation Accepting Submission for Young Jazz Composer Awards
ASCAP Foundation

Established in 1975, the ASCAP Foundation is dedicated to nurturing the music talent of tomorrow, preserving the legacy of the past, and sustaining the creative incentive for today's creators through educational, professional, and humanitarian programs and activities that serve the entire music community.

To that end, the foundation, in partnership with the Herb Alpert Foundation, is accepting applications for its Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards. Through the annual program, monetary prizes are awarded to encourage talented young jazz composers. To be considered, applicants must submit an original score of a composition accompanied by a CD (indicating the proper track, if applicable).

To be eligible, applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or enrolled as a student with a student visa. All applicants must be under the age of 30 as of December 31, 2015.

For complete program guidelines and application procedures, visit the ASCAP Foundation website.
