The Virginia Avenue Project is a nationally recognized arts mentoring program that provides long-term arts and academic enrichment programs for children between the ages of 7-18. The Project serves over 150 kids each year at multiple sites in Santa Monica and west Los Angeles.

Leadership ability · Experience in fundraising, knowledge of fundraising trends, and the fundraising community. The ability to develop persuasive and comprehensive funding proposals · Experience in generating and managing a budget · The ability to work well with a Board of Directors and various Board and Volunteer committees · Excellent interpersonal skills dealing with a diverse range of people · Experience dealing with a large volunteer network · Experience in Arts Education and/or working with young people · Proficiency in using computers, software and financial/mailing list programs · Strong analytical and organizational skills · The ability and desire to work in a collaborative, creative, fast-paced, non-corporate work environment
