California Arts Council Seeks New Director

The California Arts Council is seeking a new Director. The Director is a key member of the Arts Council's executive management team, reporting directly to the Chair and Members of the Council. Artists in Schools Grant Program from the California Arts Council Now Open

The California Arts Council is now accepting applications for its "Artists in Schools" program. The Artists in Schools program integrates community arts resources--professional artists and arts organizations--into a comprehensive, standards-based program. Deadline: March 11, 2011.

California Arts Council to Meet in Sacramento

The California Arts Council will meet on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at the Crocker Art Museum, 216 "O" Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, (916) 808-0177. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at approximately 4:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and address the Council during the public comment period at approximately 3:15 p.m. Public testimony will be time-limited.  SEE AGENDA

Artists in Schools guideline workshops to be held throughout state

The California Arts Council, in conjunction with various local arts agencies throughout California, will conduct a series of guideline workshops for its "Artists in Schools" program in February. Potential grantees may attend any of these guideline workshops, even if the organization is located and/or operates outside the immediate area of the local arts agency organizing the event.
