Late Filers Can Still Contribute to "Arts Council Fund"

October 15 is the last day to file your 2011 state tax return to avoid penalties and interest. For those who are filing late, it's a good time to make a tax-deductible contribution to the "Arts Council Fund," a.k.a. Tax Checkoff for the Arts.

Statewide Networks 2011-12

Arts service organizations provide services to artists and arts organizations through communications, professional development opportunities, networking and arts advocacy. Another Facebook Milestone for the California Arts Council

Some of you will remember that about a year ago, the California Arts Council and the Arizona Arts Commission began a friendly race to see which state's arts agency could reach 10,000 Facebook "likes" first. We got to the 10K mark in November 2011 ... and in less than a year doubled it to 20K!

YoungArts applications due Oct 19

YoungArts, a program for artistically talented 15- to 18-year-olds, identifies and nurtures emerging artists in the visual, literary and performing arts. Those accepted are eligible for scholarships and other awards, including nominations for U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Complete applications are due October 19, 2012. SEE MORE
