Big news: We've moved to Medium!

CAC's blog publishing has been relocated to Medium! The platform's modern design and comprehensive capabilities give us the freedom to tell more in-depth stories, deliver content more creatively, and to bring more voices and guest features into the mix. And not to worry, we've migrated all of our old content from the WordPress blog archive over to our set of stories, so you won't miss a beat. Follow us on Medium now.

Online resource offers creative engagement for older adults

engAGED: The National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults, funded by the U.S. Administration for Aging, is a new online resource center aimed at encouraging creativity among older Americans. It features lifelong learning resources, technology services for seniors, and intergenerational activity and creative caregiving guides. The initiative is a partnership of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, the National Center for Creative Aging, the National Resource Center for Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes at Northwestern University and others. Field scan explores intersectionality of art & environment

ArtPlace America has published its fourth field scan in a series, with the goal of  identifying areas of intersectionality between sectors of community development and creative placemaking. The report, Farther, Faster Together: How Arts and Culture Can Accelerate Environmental Progress, is an exploratory first step to discover what goals or needs of the environmental sector can be addressed through collaboration with creative placemaking. Nine case studies are featured for a framework for achieving sustainable outcomes. Read the report here.
