CA Poet Laureate nominations accepted now through July 25

It’s official: The search for California’s next poet laureate is underway. Poets may self-nominate, or be nominated by experts in the field of literature. The deadline for submission is July 25, 2018. Details on the nomination process, criteria and more can be found in our latest press release.

June is PTSD Awareness Month

The month of June is designated as PTSD Awareness Month, with June 27 officially known as PTSD Awareness Day. In observance, we share some recent resources for the field of military and the arts:

Create CA webinar focuses on school district collaboration

CAC partner Create CA is hosting an online webinar on July 18 at 3 p.m. to help artists and arts organizations better utilize the Arts Education Data Project tool for collaboration and partnership with school districts. Presenters include California Arts Council Arts Education Program Specialist Josy Miller, California Alliance for Arts Education Senior Director of Advocacy and Communications Sibyl O'Malley, and Create CA Program Director Pat Wayne. California Arts Council grantees the Luna Dance Institute, Arts for the Schools and AmadorArts will share their partnership experiences. Click here to register.
