Public comment open for draft VAPA Standards

The California Department of Education, Instructional Quality Commission, and State Board of Education have started the process of revising California's Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) content standards. A draft is now available for review and comment by the public. It's crucial that a diverse, representative cohort be heard and be at the table. Comments and suggestions will inform the IQC's actions at its November 2018 meeting, when it will consider recommending the draft VAPA Standards to the SBE for adoption in January 2019. Public comment will remain open until September 30, at 3 p.m. Read and review the draft VAPA Standards here.
