October is National Arts and Humanities Month

October is National Arts & Humanities Month, dedicated to recognition of the importance of culture in America. Established by Americans for the Arts and national arts partners, the celebration focus on the arts at local, state, and national levels; encourages individuals and organizations to participate in the arts; allows government and business to show their support of the arts; and raises public awareness about the role the arts and humanities play in communities and lives. Here's how to get involved.

CAC Career Opportunity: AGPA - Arts Program Specialist

California Art for Justice Forum on Oct. 16 in Sacramento

CAC partners California Lawyers for the Arts and the William James Association, together with California State University, Sacramento, will host a free forum on Tuesday, October 16, highlighting the role of the arts in addressing criminal justice reform in California. Elected representatives, justice reform advocates, artists, arts organizations, corrections officials and returned citizens are encouraged to attend.
