California Arts Council Programs Evaluation Consultant RFP

The California Arts Council is seeking a qualified consultant or firm to design and implement a collaborative and human-centered program evaluation of the CAC's grant and contract-based funding programs using innovative and inclusive methods. Council Chair and Vice Chair elections held

The California Arts Council re-elected Nashormeh Lindo and newly elected Jaime Galli to serve as Chair and Vice Chair of the Council, respectively, at a public meeting on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Oceanside. More details in our latest press release.

Sample emergency preparedness plans available for arts orgs

The Performing Arts Readiness (PAR) project website has added free downloadable sample emergency plans created for performing arts organizations to aid organizations in the creation of their own plans. Planning for emergencies is vital for the survival of organizations and will aid in preventing emergencies, reducing their impact, and will speed recovery and resumption of operations following an emergency. Registration open for Create CA convening May 12 & 13

CAC partner Create CA presents "CREATE"ing Momentum Together, the 2020 annual statewide convening, along with the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association Arts Initiative and the Sacramento County Office of Education, on May 12 and 13. The two-day event brings together district and school teacher leaders, administrators, school board members, arts organizations and community leaders to design arts education strategies, collaborate and hear from industry leaders, and create professional development opportunities for equity and advocacy.
