Council meeting to be held virtually on April 1

The California Arts Council will hold its next business meeting on Wednesday, April 1 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The meeting will take place online with public access available by web link or phone. Public comments will be accepted via an online form, which will be made available 24 hours prior to the meeting. A detailed agenda and meeting packet are available now; forthcoming information for meeting access and public comment will also be posted to this page.

Grants for arts participation by people with disabilities

Applications are now open for California's Arts and Accessibility grant program, offering support to artists with disabilities and organizations enhancing arts and culture opportunities for people with disabilities. Direct funding for artists is available through this grant. The program is administered in partnership with the National Arts and Disability Center at UCLA. Click here to learn more.

Grant deadline extended: Innovations + Intersections

The deadline for the Innovations + Intersections grant program has been extended. Support of up to $500,000 is available for arts-based strategies incorporating the health and/or technology sectors to address society's most pressing issues and opportunities. Apply by May 1. Deadline extended: Arts in Corrections RFP

The CAC is currently accepting proposals from organizations interested in providing arts services promoting healing and well-being as part of California's Arts in Corrections (AIC) program. We want YOU to become our newest Coordinating Organization! In a conscious effort to simplify the submission process and increase access, equity, and inclusion among interested arts organizations, the RFP includes plain-language templated forms, instructions, and a video tutorial for submission guidance.
