Round Hole Square Peg 3
For International artists

Round Hole, Square Peg ™ 3, is a juried international photography competition, the first queer/LGBTQ show ever staged at the LA Art Show. The competition is an on-going search for new LGBTQ visual archetypes to create a vanguard next wave of queer art and soul. 30 emerging and mid-career artists will be selected from an international competition and presented in the Bert Green Fine Art booth at The LA Art Show. Best in Show will be selected by juror, Zackary Drucker, producer of Amazon TV’s Transparent. The exhibition will include an invitational, curated Wall of Fame featuring top LGBTQ photographers. The LA Art Show, January 10 -14, 2018, is the largest art fair on the West Coast, with an estimated 70,000 attendees over the four day period.

After The LA Art Show, Round Hole, Square Peg ™ 3, will open at The City of West Hollywood’s Long Hall Gallery in Plummer Park, for a six-week museum-style exhibition from February 3-March 17, 2018, where a special recognition award will be given to an emerging West Hollywood photographer chosen by Fabrik Projects Gallery Director Chris Davies, Producer of the Los Angeles  Photo Independent Art Fair.

West Hollywood’s opening reception will feature a live photo art raffle benefitting the Trevor Project: the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth.   Sponsors of Round Hole Square Peg™ 3 include Fabrik and West Hollywood Lifestyle Magazines, Tom of Finland Foundation, and The City of West Hollywood’s Weho Arts Program.  Jurors include Laura Aguilar, Paul Bridewater, Zackary Drucker, Bert Green, Robert Summers and Phil Tarley.
