ACNV Education Alliance Coordinator

Time Commitment: 16 hours a week, actual hours may vary based on schedule of activities

Rate: $18-20/hour

Summary of Position:

Arts Council Napa Valley is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and preferably bilingual (Spanish-English) arts education advocate to serve as the seasonal part-time ACNV Education Alliance Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity focused on sustaining and growing equitable access to arts education countywide for all students. As the point person for the Alliance, the Coordinator will cultivate relationships and implement communications to forward the Alliance’s mission (“To Inspire the voice and creative mind within every student in Napa County”), especially with current and potential contributors to the Alliance Fund and Alliance partners. Additionally, the Coordinator will present on the successes and needs in arts education to community groups, in support of the NVUSD Arts Education Master Plan and other districts. This position is ideal for a community member looking to make a difference for our youth. Candidates can expect 16 hours per week with most activity in school year (August - May).


Working under the direction of the CEO and closely with fellow ACNV staff, the Alliance Coordinator’s role will focus on:

  1. ACNV Education Alliance Fund
    • Assist in developing annual fundraising goals and strategies to meet current needs, growth goals, and activities
    • Lead implementation of fundraising activities and schedule
    • Cultivate donor relationships to support the mission, ex. PTAs, local businesses, and foundations
  2. Marketing and Advocacy Campaign
    • Advise on and support annual outreach and marketing goals
    • Cultivate active student relationships and impact stories with education partners
    • Support implementation through social media, newsletters, and presentations
    • Assist in promoting Alliance member engagement in advocacy and marketing
  3. Alliance Membership and Committees
    • Support CEO in managing and monitoring annual Alliance goals and schedule
    • Cultivate relationships between educators, nonprofits, booster groups and PTAs, donors, students, and business leaders
    • Keep membership informed of relevant opportunities, news, and resources
  4. Other Duties as Assigned

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Docs, Drive, Sheets, and Calendar
  • Familiarity with social media and grassroots communications strategies


Candidates are strongly recommended to have experience in at least 3 of the following areas:

  • Fundraising / Donor Cultivation
  • Working in or with TK-12 public education, especially in Arts standards
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Policy advocacy and/or public will building
