Statewide Networks

Statewide Networks is a partnership between the California Arts Council and culturally specific, multicultural, and discipline-based statewide arts networks and service organizations to promote the public value of the arts.  The work of community building (providing services, developing the arts field, communicating issues, convening and telling your story) exceeds the resources of any one organization. Limited funding underscores the need for arts organizations to share resources and work in partnership to effectively develop visibility and organizational efficiency. Statewide Networks addresses these issues with two funding categories:

  • Multicultural Infrastructure Support (MIS) is designed to partner with culturally specific and multicultural statewide arts networks to promote the public value of the arts by realizing opportunities that enhance a network’s organizational capacity and community building.

  • Statewide Service Networks (SSN) is designed to partner with long-standing statewide arts service organizations to promote the public value of the arts by enhancing community building.
