The California Arts Council has completely overhauled its electronic presence to bring more information on the arts for all Californians. We’ve still got the basics—our grant programs, special initiatives, conferences, workshops, press releases and informational pages as before. But we’ve also streamlined important tidbits and posted them on our site. Now you don’t have to wait for an eNewsletter to find out if we’ve heard about other grants opportunities, artists calls, competitions, arts stories in the major media, or other important information on the arts. The Grantfinder has lists of other funding opportunities outside the California Arts Council. Arts in the Media has important news stories on the arts and creativity in California. Competitions can be found on Arts Compete, and reports and studies on Arts Inform. We now post Arts Jobs and Artists Calls on the site. And our in-house stories are on the site, including What’s New at the California Arts Council, Arts Insider News, and Feature Stories from the California Arts Council. And we’ve updated our eNewsletter with a new name: California Art Beat! It’s sleeker and easier to read, and the new design should allow delivery on a frequent basis. Sign up today to receive the most up-to-date information on the arts from the California Arts Council. The new design of the California Arts Council’s website is part of the redesign of all state agency websites, as guided by the main CA.gov site, and the information resources we provide are in line with the Strategic Plan goals of public awareness of the arts for the citizens of California.
