Hollywood and entertainment industry powerhouses have already enlisted as "Arts Ambassadors" to support the efforts to provide $40 million for the arts and arts education in California. California scores third highest in Creative Vitality Index, a report examining creative for-profit and non-profit economy California has the third highest Creative Vitality Index (CVI) score in the nation for both 2006 and 2007, according to a study that measures the annual changes in the economic health of an area's creative sector and includes both for-profit and nonprofit activities. Governing-body members of the state's arts agency urges increase in arts education statewide and the continuation of arts education programming in LAUSD Members of the California Arts Council unanimously approved two official statements recently that support instruction of the visual and performing arts education in the classrooms of California's K-12 schools. A proclamation addressing the visual and performing arts throughout California was approved last October, and a resolution addressing concerns about proposed reductions of arts education in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) was approved on January 26, 2010.
